DCTMath Development of Computational Thinking in Mathematics

Our eTwining project, which we carried out with 15 teachers and 80 students from 7 countries(Spain, Portugal, Georgia, Serbia, France, Croatia and Turkiye), emphasizes the importance of computational thinking in mathematics. Within the scope of our project, whose target audience is high school students, activities that increase the effect of digitally supported environments on mathematics learning skills and encourage computational thinking will be included. We will explore the most popular digital applications and platforms used in mathematics education in the world together with our project members and have fun with mathematical games that require computational thinking. We will realize both project-based and game-based learning with content that facilitates computational learning on mathematics topics that we will produce by actively using Web2 tools. We took into account the interests and curiosities of today’s youth to overcome prejudices about the difficulty of mathematics lessons. We are ready to make our mark in 2024 with a wonderful project that blends mathematics and technology together.

7 ülkeden (İspanya, Portekiz, Gürcistan, Sırbistan, Fransa, Hırvatistan ve Türkiye) 15 öğretmen ve 80 öğrenciyle gerçekleştirdiğimiz eTwining projemiz matematikte hesaplamalı düşünmenin önemini vurguluyor. Hedef kitlesi lise öğrencileri olan projemiz kapsamında dijital destekli ortamların matematik öğrenme becerileri üzerindeki etkisini artıran ve bilişimsel düşünmeyi teşvik eden etkinliklere yer verilecektir. Dünyada matematik eğitiminde kullanılan en popüler dijital uygulama ve platformları proje üyelerimizle birlikte keşfedecek, hesaplamalı düşünme gerektiren matematik oyunlarıyla eğleneceğiz. Web2 araçlarını aktif olarak kullanarak üreteceğimiz matematik konularında hesaplamalı öğrenmeyi kolaylaştıran içeriklerle hem proje tabanlı hem de oyun tabanlı öğrenmeyi gerçekleştireceğiz. Matematik dersinin zorluğuna dair ön yargıları kırmak için günümüz gençliğinin ilgi ve meraklarını dikkate aldık. Matematik ve teknolojiyi bir araya getiren harika bir projeyle 2024 yılına damga vuracağız.
