The adventure begins with the “5 Keys to the Future” eTwinning Project

The year is 2050. Europe is on the brink of chaos – humans have forgotten how to communicate, solve problems, and think critically. Artificial intelligence has taken over most tasks, but without human skills, the world is beginning to fall apart. In the secret archive of the “eT-Lab,” scientists discover an old message: “The future can still be saved. Five keys still exist.”

Here are the eT-Lab laboratories and their missions that will save the world:

1- eT-Lab Literacy Analysis Bureau:”The Literacy Key-“The Power of Words

2- eT-Lab Code Engineers: “The Key of Maths-The Code of Logic

3- eT-Lab Discovery Division: “The Science Key-“The Lab of Discovery

4- eT-Lab Digital Intelligence Team: “The Cyber Key“”

5- eT-Lab Civic Architects: “The Key of Values

This adventurous project, based on the eTwinning annual theme, was founded in partnership with Turkiye and Poland. Six schools from five countries are participating in this project: Střední odborná škola logistiky a podnikání from Czechia, IES Las Maretas from Spain, Γυμνάσιο Κρόκου from Greece, Zespół Szkół im. Ojca Świętego Jana Pawła II w Niepołomicach from Poland, Bingöl Yunus Emre Anadolu Lisesi and Kayseri Mustafa Sezgin Kız Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi from Türkiye.

The “ 5 Keys to the Future ” project, based on  *David W. Shaffer’s theory of Epistemic Games* as its pedagogical approach, employs a science-fiction narrative to explore humanity’s endeavor to reclaim the lost competencies of communication, logic, science, technology, and citizenship in a future world.

The project aims to develop five core skills identified by the EU: literacy, mathematics, science, digital literacy, and civics. Students aged 15-19 from various European schools will create a shared narrative: a team of young experts who must save the world from a skills crisis. As part of the project, participants will create a digital escape room based on interdisciplinary puzzles and a documentary/fiction film depicting their mission.
